Welcome to our blog!  You’ve arrived at a crossroad of information and inspiration that advocates personal  involvement in promoting a better future for our beloved planet.  We are young entrepreneurs who seek to take on the call of duty of shaping the world we stand to inherit.  After all, it is the youth of each generation that must answer this call in contributing to the promise of the future.

We hope you will find exciting and useful information that will empower you to get involved, no matter your age, career, location or circumstance.  Get involved on whatever level you see fit in enhancing your life, the lives of those you love and, quite simply, life on our planet.  Get involved by:  getting informed about your health; in your community; in education—just get involved!

At our website, we are introducing a whole new generation of products that we hope will encourage parents concerning the promise of young people.  Be sure to check out our new video series, The Organic 4, about a group of young kids who find their place by helping the planet and realizing that everyone is important and has a role to play.  Check us out at www.eyipublications.com.

SUPPORT ORGANICS

Organic foods and plants are truly the natural plants that we expect when we see “natural” labeled on the products we buy.  The truth is, not all products labeled, “natural” are truly natural.  If you want the real stuff, it’s labeled “organic”, which means grown without the use of chemicals, chemical pesticides, chemical or artificial fertilizers, without contamination (grown in organic soil), and non-genetic modification or other forms of biotechnology.

Besides just tasting better, organic foods are highly preferred by individuals who prefer not to be exposed to harmful chemicals and practices that have been linked to serious health issues.  Years ago when the organic movement began, it was relatively small-scale and not many people felt the need to buy organic products.  But, thankfully, times have changed as more and more people around the world are beginning to get more involved with the movement, because we can all now see that our management of the planet will determine what level of  existence we will experience.  An optimal experience will require us to manage the planet in a more sensible and responsible way.

For your information and inspiration, please check out a few of our favorite websites concerning this most important movement.  We hope they will be useful to you too!

NOTE.  In our upcoming updates, we will cover much more material on organics and the benefits of supporting them.

GET INVOLVED

We hear it all the time, “Get involved!”  And so many of us are.  But sometimes people ask, “I want to get involved, but I don’t know how or what I can do.”  Many of our lives are so busy, (working, school, etc.) that we don’t feel we can really contribute at all.  It is important to know, though, that getting involved with EYI is all about being a part of a very big picture.  And that picture is the shaping of a greater future.

You can easily partake by not even leaving your home.  Get involved by beginning with yourself!  Make a promise to yourself that you’ll improve your health and well-being as a contribution to a great future that awaits us.  Changing particular life-practices to healthier ones is a great place to begin.  What kind of world will we be if everyone is unbalanced in their lives?  Just helping better yourself will help better the world.

Other ways of getting involved is with mentoring programs, tutoring programs, neighborhood programs, co-op programs, organic farming, educating yourself and others, the list just goes on.  Try some of these sites for ideas.  Don’t delay, get your feet wet today!

Loads Of Laughs

As mentioned before, we are all about a better future and for that reason, we focus very much on our counterparts—the youth.  We love a great challenge, especially one that results in self-empowerment.  Ask yourself, “What is my vision for my future, and for the future of our planet?”  With all the innumerable answers to the question, we’d wager they all probably center around one word—success.  We all want to be successful and we all want a planet that will be viable to accommodate that success.

So begin by bettering yourself.  Extend that gift by bettering your community, and then finally, the world.  We’ve listed some leads that we hope you find useful to give you ideas of what you can do and how you can begin.  Let’s just DO IT!!!!

EYI FEATURED FOOD

eyi Reci--peas!

Fast is more furious than ever.  Everyone is looking for easier, yet healthier recipes that will enable them to enjoy delicious foods that don’t break the bank, or consume an entire evening for preparation.  Here’s a great, simple recipe for a side-dish that can be enjoyed by the individual or the whole family.

2 pks (organic) sweet peas (rinse with hot water to thaw quickly)

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt to taste

¼ tsp cayenne pepper (or to taste)

1-2 tbs extra virgin olive oil

Add oil to wok or skillet, let heat get warm (not too hot), then add quick-thawed sweet peas.  Sprinkle all other ingredients and let fry in medium heat until tender.  You can add additional ingredients, such as a pinch of cumin or curry powder, just be sure to add these in the oil and let them heat for about a minute before adding the peas.

And you’re done!  Serve hot and enjoy!
